Connecting your account
- Open Nootti → Add Account → Nostr
- Enter your public and private keys (npub/nsec)
- Add your preferred relays
- For media: Settings → Media Server → add a NIP-96 server URL
- Compose and post directly to your network
Your credentials are kept safely in your device's iOS Keychain and are only used locally to authorize your posts.

Relay management
Manually add the relays you want your notes to propagate to. Nootti automatically prevents duplicate relay entries to keep your configuration clean.

Media Uploads (NIP-96)
Add a compatible media server URL (such as nostr.build) in Nootti settings. Image attachments are uploaded to the server and embedded in your note automatically.

Maintain separate personal and project identities. Connect multiple accounts and publish to all of them at once. The free tier supports up to two accounts total.
Brand removal
Notes posted via Nootti include a client tag by default. Upgrading to Nootti Premium removes the branding from your notes for cleaner metadata.

Nootti focuses purely on publishing Kind 1 notes to Nostr. It does not load your timeline, manage follows, or handle zaps and reactions.

Frequently asked questions
Are there any intermediate servers?
No. All communication happens directly between your device and your selected relays. Nootti does not use any servers of its own.
Why are my images not uploading?
Image uploads to Nostr require a media server. Go to Nootti Settings → Media Server and add a compatible URL. Without this configured, image attachments will fail.
Does Nootti support Nostr DMs or zaps?
No. Nootti handles note publishing only. For DMs, zaps, reactions, and feed reading, use a dedicated Nostr client alongside Nootti.
